Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?In short, with your kart stored at Infinity Kart Services, all you need to do is call or email when you want to go to the track and run some laps in your kart. That’s it! We will get the kart ready, and you will meet it in the pit lane ready to go. When you’re done, we will put it away. We will also have days dedicated to those who want to learn about their kart setup and make some changes with a mechanic standing by.What do I get for this storage fee?
What other costs are there? The In-and-Out kart prep: $40 each timeEach time a kart is prepped for the track, a $40 fee will apply. This prep will include:
Note: This does not include any trackside support. There will be extra gas, necessary tools, simple spare parts, chain lube, solvents, and extra pre-mixed fuel with your kart in the pit lane. Support will be only a phone call away or back at the shop if there are any problems. 24 hour minimum notice. Same day service incurs additional $25 fee and will not be guaranteed.
Parts and Labor: Parts and supplies will be sold at Russell Racing retail prices - no more, no less. Shop time will be billed at $40 per hour for customers of Infinity. Work on karts that are not stored at Infinity will be billed at $60 per hour. Fuel and Oil: $7 per gallonPre-mixed fuel is provided at cost of $7 per gallon. We use only VP-110 MotorSport fuel and VP RC-3 racing castor oil. It’s more expensive, but your engine will run better and cooler. Infinity customers can only use fuel mixed by Infinity. Optional ServicesKart cleaning: A complete kart cleaning will be $50 (1 hour labor, $10 supplies and materials). This cleaning will include a full nut-and-bolt check throughout the kart to make sure that everything is in top condition for continued trouble-free track time. Infinity customers are welcome to clean their own karts in the pit lane with supplies from Infinity. No customers can work or clean their karts inside of the Infinity storage facility for liability reasons.Infinity Testing Days: Infinity Testing Days will provide full trackside support for IKS customers. Trackside support will cost $40 per hour, but will not incur the $40 In-and-Out fee. Testing Days will include access to a driver coach and a mechanic able to assist in making setup changes to the kart (or driver!), as well as all available Infinity karting equipment, such as cornerweight scales, tire pyrometers, a laptop for data analysis, driver coaching and setup analysis. Individual trackside support will be $60 per hour. We will work to choose the days that are best for our customers. These days will be announced in advance, and the frequency will be based on customer demand. What about racing?Infinity Kart Services will be prepared to support IKS customers in any and all race weekends at the Infineon Karting Center. IKS will not support racing at other locations. What about going to other tracks?Infinity Kart Services looks forward to "field trips" to other kart tracks. We can arrange a truck and trailer to bring karts and equipment. We expect to start this service in Spring 2003, and the location and frequency of these trips will be based on customer demand. If you want to go, we’ll go! | |
